Committees

Standing committees will preferably be composed of at least three members and shall be approved by the Board of Directors after the annual meeting in even numbered years for a two year term or until their successors are appointed

Awards Committee

The Awards Committee shall review and recommend candidates for various awards. The committee meets as needed to choose candidates for the Margaret Hardie Award. 

By-Laws Committee

The Bylaws Committee reviews and evaluates existing bylaws, considers changes suggested by members and prepares proposed amendments for approval by the Board of Directors for submission to the voting body.

Communications Committee

Responsibilities of the Communication Committee:

  • Maintain the PNASC newsletter
  • Update computer database as needed and maintain flash drives
  • Record new members on database, renewals of members and their personal information and any changes
  • Provide support (as needed) to all committees, provide lists and data information as requested for promotional mailings and for billing at the end of the year
  • Provide support for the Board for any statistical information requested such as membership statistics or trends
  • Add and maintain all PNASC documents, files and folders on the computer and in the office on hard copy
  • Purchase and replace ink cartridges for the office printer as needed
  • Update PNASC website, as needed

Education Committee

The Education Committee shall plan and implement the continuing education programs  presented by PNASC.

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee prepares an annual budget in collaboration  for approval by the Board of  Directors, reviews the financial status of the Association and advises the Board of Directors regarding financial policies.

Legislative Committee

The Legislative Committee studies and evaluates proposed legislation, provides minutes/reports to the Board and advises the Board and membership as to actions necessary to promote desired legislative goals.

Membership Committee

The Membership Committee studies, evaluates and devises plans relating to membership promotion, recruitment and retention and makes recommendations to the Board of Directors.

Nominating Committee

The Nominating Committee prepares a ticket, preferably of at least two (2) Nominees for each office.

Scholarship Committee

The Scholarship Committee shall process, review and evaluate all applications and make recommendations to the Board of Directors for the final decision.
